BGin - First Digital Session of EYP Bulgaria

The First Digital Session of the European Youth Parliament Bulgaria - BGin- took place from the 29th of January to the1st of February 2022. The session, head-organized by Maria Kushleva and Nikoleta Chapanova, brought together more than 100 participants from all over Bulgaria and Europe under the theme “New beginnings”.

The participants of BGin were divided into 9 committees addressing different relevant and crucial issues concerning the European Union in 2022, ranging from gender equality and domestic violence to sustainability and food waste. During the session, participants went through the typical EYP structure, beginning with Team Building where delegates got to know each other, followed by Committee Work where each committee developed resolutions to their assigned issue, and finally General Assembly, where the different resolutions were debated and voted upon. Additionally, the third day was a cultural one, filled with different social and interactive activities.

Furthermore, delegates had the unique opportunity to listen to the speaker Carlos Gomez Arnemann, President of BETA (Bringing Europeans Together Association) Europe, and Arno Piegeler, a founder of Young Bulgaria..
